In 2025, and recent years prior, we've had those inevitable pop culture moments capturing the zeitgeist – crazes that then manifest around All Hallows' Eve as flocks of people happily dress up as ghouls and goblins and iconic pop culture figures. So, with Halloween coming up, let’s take a look at some costumes that you, a friend, or someone in your family might love. 🎃
KPop Demon Hunters
KPop Demon Hunters is a very successful film which began streaming on Netflix in June 2025. It became the most-watched original title in Netflix history with 266 million views, and its sing-along theatrical release was both the widest for a Netflix film and the first to top the box office in the United States.
The film follows a K-pop girl group, Huntrix, stylized as Huntr/x, who lead double lives as demon hunters. They face off against a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, whose members are secretly demons. All of this makes KPop Demon Hunters a natural for some Halloween 2025 fun!
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
The Juice is Loose! Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder helped make Tim Burton's Beetlejuice a 1988 phenomenon. Last year they returned for a terrific sequel, with the addition of Jenna Ortega, one of Generation-Z's 'It Girls', playing Ryder's (Lydia Deetz's) daughter. Beetlejuice costumes are, of course, a natural for Halloween: so fun to sport that iconic black-and-white suit, green & white wig and full face makeup! And the red Bride From Hell costume is a frightfully delicious Halloween treat as well!
Deadpool & Wolverine
Deadpool and Wolverine are iconic Marvel characters known for their unique costumes and personalities. Halloween is the perfect time for fans to dress up as these beloved superheroes, embracing Deadpool’s witty, red-suited look or Wolverine’s rugged, clawed appearance. Both characters have a strong fan base, making their costumes popular choices for Halloween parties and events. Dressing up as Deadpool or Wolverine allows fans to channel their favorite heroes’ spirit and add a touch of comic book flair to the spooky season.
Wednesday Addams
Though Jenna Ortega’s pigtailed heroine came out a few years ago, the Wednesday craze missed out on its release-year's Halloween, having premiered in November. The kooky and spooky gal is totally fun to dress up as – with her signature goth look easy to replicate, and oh so Halloween-friendly!
Emulate Wednesday’s Nevermore school ensemble or her classic Peter Pan-collar dress. No matter what, never ditch the braids.
Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour
The Eras Tour’s runaway success inspires a whole slew of Taylor Swift-inspired looks by her devoted concertgoers. Expect the impact to continue to reverberate this Halloween, with endless selections from Taylor’s many eras to choose from. Girly girls can go for the shimmery dresses, while casual lovers can opt for her Red or evermore fits.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025. Couples dressing up as the two of them is definitely a 2025 Halloween trend!
Super Mario
In Spring 2023, The Super Mario Bros Movie smashed box office records on its way to becoming a pop culture sensation. The signature styles of the pizza-loving plumber and friends are great options for Halloween. From Mario’s red cap and blue jumpsuit combo to Princess Peach’s cute pink ensemble, there’s something for everyone.
Barbie
As the biggest cinematic phenomenon a couple years ago, there will likely be a continued explosion of hot pink at this year’s Halloween. From Cowgirl Barbie to Roller-skating Barbie to feminine Tartan Barbie, there is no shortage of Barbie-inspired looks from the Margot Robbie-starring blockbuster. Oh, and don’t forget Ken too for fun Halloween couple dress-up.
M3GAN
In 2022 the dancing droid murdered and shimmied her way into the hearts of millions. A true Gen Z icon, M3GAN’s preppy ensemble of course makes a, uhmm, killer Halloween costume. Top off the look with a long red hair wig and yellow contacts and you’re set for some scary good trick-or-treating!
The Little Mermaid’s Ariel
In spring of 2023 the Disney Princess swam her way into the hearts of a whole new generation. Ariel-inspired mermaid looks will likely continue to float into Halloween parties near you – folks are wearing her signature red locks and sparkly green fin. For a finishing touch, carry a Flounder with you everywhere. Bonus points if you can sing as charmingly as Ariel.
One Piece
Manga and anime fans have long embraced One Piece’s pirate and beach-core looks. But the series gained renewed interest thanks to the live-action show. Colorful and distinctive, be the center of attention with Luffy’s signature straw hat, red cardigan, and shorts. If you’re feeling creative, select from Luffy’s wide range of Hawaiian shirts or go crazy with either Zoro’s samurai-esque look or Sanji’s blonde gentleman style.
Queen Charlotte
The Bridgerton spin-off captivated the hearts of many with its heart-rending romance and decadent royal opulence. As one of last year's hottest pop culture moments, of course the show comes with plenty of style inspo perfect for Halloween. Dress up like Charlotte and George attending a ball and you’re sure to be the diamond of the first water in any Halloween party.
Oppenheimer
'Barbenheimer' was an indomitable force in 2023. I.E., on the other side of Barbie was Oppenheimer’s solemn tale of nuclear creation. Yet, a pop culture sensation it still was after all – and a reasonable excuse, among many Hollywood has given us in the past, to dress up in Roaring 20s garb (Oppenheimer's tale begins in his younger days during the 20s), or in wartime-era (40s) garb. A costume option to balance out all the pink of the Barbie side of Barbenheimer.
Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” Gold Dress
The Hannah Montana star not too long ago came back with the chart-busting hit Flowers. A look from the music video, in which Miley donned a gold dress while walking down the street, is a true style moment. Emulating the fierce look isn’t much of a hassle – just throw on a gold dress and a pair of the darkest sunglasses you have at home, tie your hair into a bun, and voila, you’re ready to “party in the U.S.A.”, or wherever you are celebrating Halloween.
